Whoever Hears My Word

 In this section of Scripture, Jesus defends himself against accusations of Sabbath breaking and blasphemy. His defense involves a three-part structure: self-testimony emphasizing his unity with the Father, corroborating witness accounts from John the Baptist and Scripture, and finally, exposing the Jews’ refusal to believe. They were proud, and they sought glory from each other instead of God. Pastor Jody urges the congregation to repent of our own pride and glory seeking, and to believe in Jesus for salvation.
