Joy under Fire

Pastor Jody Killingsworth preaches on James 1:1-4, urging us to “count it all joy” amidst trials. Difficulties aren’t random but serve God’s sovereign purpose: to test faith and produce steadfastness. This perseverance strengthens us, leading to spiritual maturity. Pastor Jody reminds us that our hope stems from trusting God’s inherent goodness and His promised outcome – becoming “perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.” By viewing trials through a gospel lens, recognizing God’s active work, we find joy even in hardship, following Christ’s example of ultimately finding glory through suffering.
